Well, my life has another challenge set ahead. My friend has decided to give me until June 15, 2009 to find a job or else I'm out on the streets again. So, I'm trying whatever I can to either a) get down to San Antonio or b) continue putting in resumes and applications like hell. All i know is this:
After talking to an Internet friend, Rob, in CA, I know now that I want to at least be in San Antonio. So, I have started searching for housing programs that I might be able to qualify for. I feel that if I can get a place to stay down there that I already have a few job leads but I have to be down there to follow up on those jobs leads. So, I'm continuing to search down there and put in resumes and applications everywhere. Basically in other words I'm going where the job is.
So, I hope everybody have a great Memorial Day weekend!

TL's Board of Life...
Today, I started my life project. Remember in my last post, I mention that I bought some supplies from Wal-Mart? The reason I bought these supplies were to start my life project which is to transform my life. I decided to call this "TL's Board of Life". Over the next few weeks, I'm going to start figuring out who I am, what my purpose in life is, what kind of job I'm looking for, and etc. Nothing is off limits. I'm going to be asking myself the tough questions. I'm going to figuring out what my personality traits are, what my skills are, what my interests, and what I can do to make these changes come true. This is about my life and I have to be honest with myself. The last year hasn't been the greatest and I don't want another year like the one I have. I'm tired of having bad years. This changes now! Therefore, my life project will change me into a better person. I'm going to keep track of all my questions, decisions, and etc on a tri-fold board. At some point though, I'm going to make a PowerPoint presentation showing the things I did. I'm going to spend a few hours a day on this project.

My Birthday...
My 35th birthday was yesterday, Monday, May 18. As I looked back over the last year since my last birthday, I'm glad it's behind me now. This past last year has seen me hospitalized, losing my job, my apartment, living out of my car for six months, losing my car, and living in a semi-truck before staying with a friend here in Lima, OH. So, yes I have had a horrible year but I'm going to start changing that and that starts now.
I took myself out for my birthday to put things behind me and think about how I can get my life back on track. I went to see two movies "Angel and Demons" and "17 Again". Totally two different movies. But it helped me think about what I need to do. After "Angel and Demons" I went to dinner and Beer Barrall and Pizza. Then I took a stroll around the local mall and drove around Lima. Then went back to the movies to watch "17 Again". If you could go back and be 17 again, would you? For me, that would be a year or so after my attempted suicide. If I could change anything it would be how I reacted and retreated within myself. I would try to be more active rather than trying to hide from what happened. But I can't go back so therefore, I have to do that now at the age of 35. But I did realize something. I remember that I'm a visual person. If I see it usually I can do it. So therefore, after the "17 Again" movie, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a foam tri-board, markers, thumb tacks, sticky pads, and index cards. I'm going to fill the board with my interests, weaknesses, strengths, traits, and etc to try find myself or what I want to do with my life. I also asked my former GCHS schoolmates for pictures and etc of me because I don't have any pictures or etc of me when I was in school.
I want to thank everybody that either text, called, or e-mailed to wish me a happy birthday. So, thank you, it means a lot.

Oh What A Day...
Thanks to Brett for giving me such a great day today. On Monday, May 18th is my birthday and Brett and I decided to meet half way between Lima (where I'm at for the time being) and Cincinnati today since my birthday is on Monday and he has the weekend free. This turned out to be in Dayton, OH. I left at 9:30 am this morning to meet up with Brett by 11:00 am. Once I got there, I parked the SUV at the the Dayton Mall parking lot that is away from the mall. I backed the SUV in and then got into Brett's SUV and off we went to explore Dayton basically. I have driven through Dayton but never had a chance to be in Dayton. This was Brett's second time. So, every time we go somewhere new, I like to eat at a restaurant we never have ate out before. We ended up eating lunch at Rusty Bucket. It was a very nice restaurant and a great place to eat if you are ever up at the Dayton Mall in Dayton, Ohio.
After we ate, we decided to explore the city itself by going downtown. After going downtown, we decided to tour the campus at the University of Dayton. UD seemed like a kewl campus as we were going down every street possible looking at the different buildings, housings, and sports fields. But one thing concerns me about UD that I might have to ask my cousin about. Why are there so many funeral homes and graves yards throughout the campus? I'm going to get to the bottom of this one.
After the tour, we went back toward the mall to a "Healthy Food Store" which I must say it had just about all types of healthy food supplies that you will need. I honestly can see myself shopping there if there was a healthy food store near where I will be. After that we went to a computer store called "Computer Zoo". To be honest, I wasn't very impressed with the store. There wasn't very many computer parts and the employee was very rude I thought. Not to mention the cost of stuff there was outrageous. For example, this Acer One computer that I'm using to type up this blog right now, cost $248 at Wal-mart. Well, at this Computer Zoo place, it cost $449. Damn!!!!!! Know where to not get my computer parts. After the Computer Zoo, we went to Borders Book stores to look at a few books before walking around inside the mall it self. Not a bad mall after all.
After the mall, we went to the Danbarry Dollar Saver Movie to watch "Race to Witch Mountain" with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. The movie was a lot better movie than I thought it would be. It was a funny movie. Possibly one that I would watch again. But before the movie though, Brett and I played a game of air hockey in which your truly won 7 to 2. Then after the movie we went to the Golden Dragon Chinese Buffet Restaurant for dinner.
Then after dinner we decided to call it the night and go back our separate way. So, he took me back to the SUV where I parked. Remember how I parked the SUV? Well, after a few minutes of talking to Brett, I got into the SUV and was getting situated when I just put the SUV into gear when I looked up and a police officer parked in front of me. So, for like 20 minutes he was running the plates on the SUV and my license. The reason he stopped me was because it just so happens the guy thought I was dealing drugs because the officer said usually when a car is backed in and occupied that drug deals are going on in that part of the parking lot. A perfect way to end the day before having to drive 1.5 hours back to Lima, Ohio.
So Brett, thank you for a great day and we will do it again maybe on your birthday in July. Depending on where I'm out.

A sign maybe????
Two things happened today:
1) On Friday, May 1st, I asked about getting a sign on what I should be doing. What I need to deal with is getting out of this area. It's time for me to see the US. I have been a very shelter boy and now it's time for me to get out there and grow as a person before life passes me by. So, today as I was surfing the internet, I came across an ad for house sitting and how it possibly could help a person change their life. As I started to think more and more about it, this is something that I could do and want to do. It can accomplish a lot for me as I can get out of this area and at the same time have a chance to find a job in another area of the US. So, I sent out a few e-mails to a few people to see if they know anybody that can help me out on this endeavor. Also, I have been searching the web for potential websites that cater to the needs of house sitters.
2) The other thing that happened today was that I was able to see Star Trek today, Thursday, May 7. I went to the movies debating on seeing either "The Soloist" and "17 again" but while sitting in the car debating I saw on the board that "Star Trek" was showing. I honestly thought it wouldn't come out until Friday, May 8. As I went up to the ticket booth, I was told it was being shown early. So, that decision was made easy, it was "Star Trek". Which was better than I thought it would be and would very much recommend it to somebody to go and watch it but be caught up on watching your "Star Trek" episodes.
So, I think today was a good day afterall. So, if anybody know of a person or family looking for a house sitter, let me know!

Need a sign....
You know the only problem about "getting a sign" is will I be able to determine that it is a sign from above? Another Friday night here all alone again. Nothing like that? Anyway, just another great night in my lonely life! I was looking for a video capture software for my webcam that I have built into this Acer but really couldn't find one I want. I was going to try and do a video blog but I will continue looking to find the right software. See you later!

Back in Lima, OH...
Today was a very weird day. As I mention in my last blog post regarding Michael changing jobs came some very unforeseen events that have lead us back home to Lima, Ohio. As I said in the last blog, Michael got an offer to switch jobs from leaving Schneider International to go work for Decker Trucking. Well, this morning when Decker called to ask him for his decision, he took it. Originally his orientation was set for May 12th. We were in Indianapolis at Schneider's operating center for the night with a load that had to go to North Carolina for a drop off. Well, after Michael got that call from Decker, he called his boss basically to put in his two weeks notice. Well, this is where the unforeseen event happen. Scheider basically didn't want to have anything to do with him and basically told him to drop off his load at the operating center there and then clean out the truck. Basically saying goodbye. So, he had to call his dad to come pick us up in Indy. We barely got everything into the truck. And here we are back in Lima, OH and Michael starts his orientation this Sunday, April 26. So, I'll be taking him to Fort Wayne, Indiana for that and then by the end of the week, he will have his new truck and a better job that will allow him to be home either every night or at least on the weekends which he wants. He is very excited. As for me, I'm still trying to dissect a plan. Probably will start looking for another job but here in Lima. We see how that goes. So, I better hit the hay because we have a lot of things to do tomorrow. So, night!

Indianapolis, IN resting...
Another day, another city. We are resting for the night here at Schneider's Operating Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. We drove over 400 miles and we have another 400 or so more miles to go. Well, looks like it's going to be official where as Michael is going to probably switch jobs so that he can be home on every weekend. Not to mention that he will get better pay as well. Plus, Decker has better equipment also. I'm happy for him but there is one draw back for me though for the next three months though. Decker does have a rider program but he would have to wait three months before I can start riding with him. So, what am I going to do for these three months? Seems like I'm going to be staying with Michael's dad for this time. Lots of ideas are going through my head about what to do. Do I look for a job? Do I do some research for jobs? What is it that I need to do during this time? Why am I so undecisive or not knowing what I should be doing with my life? Anyway, back to Hulu I go!

West Branch, Iowa and lack of confidence...
Well hello everybody! I'm coming to you all from the very rainy West Branch, Iowa. The home of Hover, our 31st President. We had to drop a load off here and due to crate being soft we had to sit here all do waiting for a load. Which we got but can't pick up till noon on Tuesday and then we be heading to North Carolina. Where in NC? I'm not sure right off hand. That will be in my next blog post.
A funny (well sort of) thing happened on the way up here to West Branch, Iowa. My friend Michael wanted to climb into my head to see what I was thinking. So, he decided to play a psychologist. He is probably regretting that decision now. I wonder who got more frustrated? Him or me the person without answers? I will admit that I do lack confidence when it comes asking women out. It just has to do with all the rejections I have gotten over the years and that also include the rejections I get when I do my job searches as well. Is it possible to fear rejection? I think it is if you got rejected as much as I have over my lifetime. So, how does one go about regaining that confidence back? Maybe my answer is on the way from Tiffany Granath. She is a talk radio host of Afternoon Advice that you can hear on Sirus radio's Playboy channel that I wrote too. I will see what she has to say!
Any way, off to bed I go!
