In Elkton, MD...

Greetings from the Petro Truck Stop here in Elkton, Maryland. Michael and I have been here since Friday night waiting for a load which we got Saturday but we can't pick it up until Monday morning. We will be heading to Wisconsin which we have to be there by Wednesday.

So, what's been up with me? Well, since I left on the 18th of March with Michael, I have been to Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, Delaware (twice), and Maryland for either to pick up loads or drop them off. We have driven through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, CT, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York. Sleeping in a semi truck is actually pretty kewl. Not to mention it's warm and I don't have to wear about every known clothing I have to keep warm. It's been peaceful riding along in the truck. Listening to an awesome radio show called "Afternoon Advice" that is on the playboy channel on Sirus XM radio that's on from 2:00 pm EST to 6:00 pm EST. Then to the "DNR" show that's on from 6:00 pm EST to 9:00 pm EST that's on another channel that I can't think of right now.

Gotta thank Michael for buying this Acer One computer. A few days ago we found out that I could use my Blackberry as a modem to get on the internet but at the time he only had a MacBook laptop which didn't work with my blackberry. So, we ended up finding thing Acer One on sale for $100 less than what it normally costs. So, now we are able to get on the internet but at a very very slow speed. My blackberry connects at a 115 kbs. Yes, you see that right. That is back in the prehistoric days! But Michael and I are working on trying to get faster speed. But for the time being, this will allow me to update my blog on a more regular basis. I told my friend Brett that I will try to blog every Friday to give him an update. So, maybe I can keep up with that now?

Anyway, gotta go and get ready for bed. Have to be up at 4:30 am CST to be on the road to pick up a load early in the morning. You know how to contact me if you need to get a hold of me. Outta here!

Here I go again...

Boy is life kicking me in the ass! As you can can it's been a little bit over a month since my last post. But I promise I have a good reason for it. I have been grappling with a very big decision this last month that the answer didn't come to me until just a few weeks ago and ever since been working my butt off to get things in order. Still don't have everything but enough.

On March 18, 2009, I'm going to do something new. I'm going to be truckin across the US. Yes, you heard me right. I'm going to go from sleeping in a car to sleeping in a semi truck across the US. After failing to land a job in the last month, I decided that it is time for me to get out of this area and hope to land in a great area that will help me land my job. My friend Michael was nice enough to offer me to come along with him while he is driving. So, I'm going to be his passenger.

My plan for this trip is that on Monday, March 16, 2009, I'm going to be giving up the last of my major possession of mine the car. Yes, going to return it back to Chase. They can go and shove it up their ass all I care. I hope I don't hear from them again. Then on Wednesday, I'll be back on the road. While I'm the road, I'm going to continue my job searching across the US and hopefully I'll get a job in an area that I want. Plus, I'm going to try and take photos and/or blog as much as possible. I always wanted to see the country side but I never thought it would be in a semi truck though.

Before you ask, yes, I'm scared shitless! But I think it's the best option for me. Keeping the car was my first priority but it wasn't feasible now that I'm totally out of money. I get my food stamps but there is a great chance I won't be able to keep those as I'm supposed to have an employment meeting on March 24, 2009. Which as you can tell, I'm not going to be in Kentucky to go to this meeting. I have placed a call to change it but they haven't called me back yet. I still have to get a hold of my insurance company to let them know as well.

What am I going to do after this? Just gotta read my blog because I don't even know what I'm going to do. So, living day by day!
