Back in Lima, OH...

Today was a very weird day. As I mention in my last blog post regarding Michael changing jobs came some very unforeseen events that have lead us back home to Lima, Ohio. As I said in the last blog, Michael got an offer to switch jobs from leaving Schneider International to go work for Decker Trucking. Well, this morning when Decker called to ask him for his decision, he took it. Originally his orientation was set for May 12th. We were in Indianapolis at Schneider's operating center for the night with a load that had to go to North Carolina for a drop off. Well, after Michael got that call from Decker, he called his boss basically to put in his two weeks notice. Well, this is where the unforeseen event happen. Scheider basically didn't want to have anything to do with him and basically told him to drop off his load at the operating center there and then clean out the truck. Basically saying goodbye. So, he had to call his dad to come pick us up in Indy. We barely got everything into the truck. And here we are back in Lima, OH and Michael starts his orientation this Sunday, April 26. So, I'll be taking him to Fort Wayne, Indiana for that and then by the end of the week, he will have his new truck and a better job that will allow him to be home either every night or at least on the weekends which he wants. He is very excited. As for me, I'm still trying to dissect a plan. Probably will start looking for another job but here in Lima. We see how that goes. So, I better hit the hay because we have a lot of things to do tomorrow. So, night!
