Father’s Day…

As I was celebrating Father’s Day with Michael and his family I couldn’t help but wishing two things:  1)  That my father was a part of my life but he hasn’t been since I was six years old.  I always wonder what it would be like if my father was in my life in some sort of fashion.  Would I had grown up any different with a father figure in my life?  Not a day goes by I think about this.  But I have told myself that if I was ever going to get married that I was going to find my dad and invite him to my wedding.  He would of course have a choice to attend or not to attend but if he wants a life with his son, he needs to attend the wedding so that way I know he wants a life with his son with what’s left of it; 2)  The second thing as I was enjoying the celebration at Michael’s grandma’s place involving  several of his family members it also makes me wonder what it would be like if my family had some kind of get together like Michael’s family did.  It was a very great day as I was in the pool all day long, talking to one another, playing volleyball in the pool, and eating out as we celebrated Father’s Day.  Other than family reunions, my family didn’t have anything like this.  Another reason I wish I had a father.

Of course, after a perfect day like this, I thought it couldn’t get any better until Michael decided to go to the movies.  We watched “Hangover” and let me tell you that it was very funny movie.  Better than I thought it would be.  It seriously made me laugh.  Must say though, it’s definitely not a kids or a teenager movie though.  So, I would whole heartedly recommend this movie to others.
