East Hartford, CT...

Welcome everybody, this post is coming from MillDale, CT from a Travel America Travel Center that is about 30 to 60 minutes away from East Hartford, CT depenind on traffic. We are going to be dropping off used computer parts, mostly monitors basically. The news of the week is the potential bad news for me but good news for Michael. Michael is considering changing jobs. If he does, that means I will once again be faced to make another decision on what I'm going to do, where I'm going to stay and etc all over again. I finally came to the decision I would try and become a trucker but I really can't do that until March when Schneider reopens their training program. The more I think about it the more I like the idea of me becoming a trucker. It's funny but it's just another thing that is weird about me. Go figure. But again this wasn't going to be until March of next year. But now, as early as next week things can change to have to make a quick decision. That would mean that I'll probably be stuck in Lima, OH basically without anything but my belongings but without transportation. But Michael gotta do what Michael gotta do. I do think it would be best for him to change to that job if they do offer it to him though. But we have to wait until that happens and I'll decide then what I will do. In the meantime, I'm going keept on truckin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back in Elkton, MD again...

First of all, let me wish everybody a Happy Easter! So, Happy Easter! Anyway, we are back in Elkton, MD again as we are stuck at the same Petro Truck Stop as all the other time we were here. You see since I started riding with my friend Michael we have been back to Delaware three times. And all three times, we have been stuck for the weekend here as well. But the good news is that we do have a load pickup in Baltimore, MD to take to Kalamazoo, MI. Before we got here though we left Texas which was one of those days when everything that could go wrong did go wrong? Did it ever but we were able to make it to North Carolina before having to head here to Delaware!

Been doing something thinking lately about my current situation. There is a time that is going to come that I have to leave this truck and enter into the real world again. So, I've been trying to pinpoint that time but don't know if I can. One thing I could do is become a trucker? Can you imagine me of all people being a trucker? It fits my current situation of having no life. But let's be honest here though, this is me we are talking about. This is the person that didn't get his driver licesnse til he was 28 years old and is currently 34 years old. Not to mention only been driving a car for basically 2 years. Not to mention that everytime I got into that car I was scared, nerveous, and etc. And a car is only like 10 or 12 feet long. A truck is like triple or quadapole that. Friends already think he is a speed demon. There is an accident waiting to happen there. What do you all think?

Now just wish I can find a woman and get laid! Tired of being alone. Only thing about being on the ride. Anyway, Happy Easter again and talk to you all later!

Reflections...

These last few days, I have been finding myself staring out into the world of nothingness. Then I realized that I wasn't really staring at nothing but rather than the reflection of myself in windows, computer screens, and etc. And what I see kind of scares me. For the first time in my life, I see me staring back at me with a cold mean like look. Almost like I'm lost in life? Maybe I am lost in life? How does one go about finding themself? If the eyes are the windows into the person's soul than my soul is very dark and cold. I have been thinking about what I want to do with my life the last couple of days but nothing really comes to fruit! But for now, I'm going to have to live with this person that I see in the reflection of things. As much it hurts me, I can't make it stop looking back at me with those cold, dark, soul-less eyes! But do like the new hair style though!

The King has cometh...

As you all might now rather you are a college basketball fan or not, there has been a lot of talk regarding the Kentucky Wildcats. You all might not know that they are the most winningest college basketball program in the nation and the 2nd most winningest programs for National Championship. Kentucky is synomous with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant or like the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Boston Celtics around the world. That news or earth quake you might have felt is all the Kentucky fans felt running to the press conference or the school itself, or to the nearest tv set or radio to either catch a glimpse of or hear the new King "John Calipari" speak. Now this would had made a very kewl or cruel April Fools Day Joke though. But it wasn't. Let me be one of the many that welcomes John Calipari to UK. Camelot is waiting "Little Ricky". I'm very exciting about this hire. Not only is he a big time coach but he can recruit. Just look at the class he put together at Memphis that is about to fall apart. Not to mention his previous classes at Memphis. This is what UK needs and I believe John Calipari is going to bring UK back to the days of Rick Pitino. Which of course is an interesting comparison in its self!

So, Coach Calipari you want a measuring stick? Just go back to Rick Pitino's era here at UK. That's your foundation that you need to use to guide your progress. Don't worry about keeping track or anything because there will be 24,000 people letting you know how you doing. You just have to go beyond Rick Pitino's era to be pleased by the 24,000 fans here at UK. But I know it won't be a problem for you at all. If you can translate what you did at Memphis here in Kentucky, you are made for life.

So, what am I looking for with Coach Calipari here at UK? The following things:

1) Strength of Schedule (SOS) - One of the things I thought that have gotten away from UK in the past years is their schedule. I remember in the past that UK's SOS being in the top 5 yearly by playing the likes of UNC, Indiana, Duke, and etc. Now a days, we play a lot of cupcake city teams. I would like to see our SOS back up in the Top 5 on a yearly basis. Fans will forgive you every now and then when we lose to UNC and etc but will not forgive you if you lose to teams like Gardner-Webb and San Deigo State. But that won't be a problem because he will basically win everything.

2)UL - if by any chance you can't win a game and want to salvage the season just win this game and you basically be fine for the season. But on a more serious note, I would like to see this game get back to the way it was back in the 80's where the game is really consider to be a dream game. Remember those years when UK/UL would meet in the tournament? Those games were very competitive.

3)Clean Program - keep the program clean. UK can't go through another probation period. But I think Calipari will keep it clean!

4) Recruits - expect an influx of fresh talent coming to UK year in and year out. All the top recruits will put us on their list and Calipari will go and get them.

So, be ready! UK is back people!

The trip so far...

As you all know, I'm currently, well basically, living out of a semi truck as I truck across the USA with my good friend Michael. Seeing the US has been one of my goals I want to do in my life and I'm living it so far. As we are sitting here in La Crosse, Wisconsin being loaded I thought I would jump on here and blog. Since I have been on this trip since March 18, 2009, these are the following things I have seen.

Bridges:

Bay Bridge in MD - just didn't get to see any Naval Ships like I hope tood
George Washington Bridge in New York
Delaware Memorial Bridge in Delaware

Rivers:

Hudson Rivers in NY - where the mobs drop those dead bodies! *lol* Just kidding!
Delaware River in DE - the river that George Washington crossed
Lake Michigan - Wisconsin
Mississipi River - Wisconsin
Ohio River - Ohio

That's just some of the stuff I have seen. That's not mentioning cities we have driven through like New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Annapolis, Indianapolis, and etc. After getting loaded here we are going to be heading to Fort Worth, Texas. I will being see several states that I never been too on our way down to Texas like Minnesota, Iowa, Oklahoma, and maybe Kansas. So, it's going to be a great day for me.

In Elkton, MD...

Greetings from the Petro Truck Stop here in Elkton, Maryland. Michael and I have been here since Friday night waiting for a load which we got Saturday but we can't pick it up until Monday morning. We will be heading to Wisconsin which we have to be there by Wednesday.

So, what's been up with me? Well, since I left on the 18th of March with Michael, I have been to Illinois, Kentucky, Alabama, Delaware (twice), and Maryland for either to pick up loads or drop them off. We have driven through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, CT, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York. Sleeping in a semi truck is actually pretty kewl. Not to mention it's warm and I don't have to wear about every known clothing I have to keep warm. It's been peaceful riding along in the truck. Listening to an awesome radio show called "Afternoon Advice" that is on the playboy channel on Sirus XM radio that's on from 2:00 pm EST to 6:00 pm EST. Then to the "DNR" show that's on from 6:00 pm EST to 9:00 pm EST that's on another channel that I can't think of right now.

Gotta thank Michael for buying this Acer One computer. A few days ago we found out that I could use my Blackberry as a modem to get on the internet but at the time he only had a MacBook laptop which didn't work with my blackberry. So, we ended up finding thing Acer One on sale for $100 less than what it normally costs. So, now we are able to get on the internet but at a very very slow speed. My blackberry connects at a 115 kbs. Yes, you see that right. That is back in the prehistoric days! But Michael and I are working on trying to get faster speed. But for the time being, this will allow me to update my blog on a more regular basis. I told my friend Brett that I will try to blog every Friday to give him an update. So, maybe I can keep up with that now?

Anyway, gotta go and get ready for bed. Have to be up at 4:30 am CST to be on the road to pick up a load early in the morning. You know how to contact me if you need to get a hold of me. Outta here!

Here I go again...

Boy is life kicking me in the ass! As you can can it's been a little bit over a month since my last post. But I promise I have a good reason for it. I have been grappling with a very big decision this last month that the answer didn't come to me until just a few weeks ago and ever since been working my butt off to get things in order. Still don't have everything but enough.

On March 18, 2009, I'm going to do something new. I'm going to be truckin across the US. Yes, you heard me right. I'm going to go from sleeping in a car to sleeping in a semi truck across the US. After failing to land a job in the last month, I decided that it is time for me to get out of this area and hope to land in a great area that will help me land my job. My friend Michael was nice enough to offer me to come along with him while he is driving. So, I'm going to be his passenger.

My plan for this trip is that on Monday, March 16, 2009, I'm going to be giving up the last of my major possession of mine the car. Yes, going to return it back to Chase. They can go and shove it up their ass all I care. I hope I don't hear from them again. Then on Wednesday, I'll be back on the road. While I'm the road, I'm going to continue my job searching across the US and hopefully I'll get a job in an area that I want. Plus, I'm going to try and take photos and/or blog as much as possible. I always wanted to see the country side but I never thought it would be in a semi truck though.

Before you ask, yes, I'm scared shitless! But I think it's the best option for me. Keeping the car was my first priority but it wasn't feasible now that I'm totally out of money. I get my food stamps but there is a great chance I won't be able to keep those as I'm supposed to have an employment meeting on March 24, 2009. Which as you can tell, I'm not going to be in Kentucky to go to this meeting. I have placed a call to change it but they haven't called me back yet. I still have to get a hold of my insurance company to let them know as well.

What am I going to do after this? Just gotta read my blog because I don't even know what I'm going to do. So, living day by day!

What does my life have to do...

with this world? Have anybody on earth ever asked that question to themselves? If so, maybe somebody can e-mail me their answer? When I thought my life can't hit any further than rock bottom. Leave it up to me to find a way to do it. After years of rejection from girls and jobs, why can't I reject life? Apparently, I clearly don't fit into this world. The world doesn't want me so why should I wait until life rejects me too? Even before this recession started, I had a hard time finding a job. It took me four years to find my SharpShooter Imaging job. Good thing I was going to school. But now, I don't have the luxury of going to school. I'm in the real world and it has kicked my ass from one coast to the other and preceding to do it again and again. I'M TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT STOPS NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm tired of rejection and being a big fat loser! Therefore, God can have me! Of course, over the years he has had me. He has guided me here for a reason. It better be a damn good plan or else I'll be pissed!

Thawing out finally...

Looks like things are finally starting to thaw out here after the Midwest was blanketed with snow and ice for the last three days. Thanks to Chris and his family, I was able to sleep inside a house for two of the three days. The bad weather did bring a damper to things as I had several appointments this week but due to the weather majority were cancelled. But did manage to have my appointment to apply for food stamps. Just had two forms that needed to be filled out by other people. Was able to get one filled out that day and returned back to the office on the same day. The other form, I had to have CBS fill out which I dropped off on Friday to them. They (CBS) said it takes up to 72 hours. And then once the food stamp people get that back, it will take them three to five days to process my case. So, I'm probably looking at like 10 to 14 days from this post before I'll receive any food stamps. As soon as I know how much I get and etc, I'll let you all know.

But until then, things are continue to spiral downhill for me in my life. Just barely holding on surviving but for how much longer? This upcoming week, I'm not really looking forward to see unless a miracle happens and I win the lottery or something. 1) My bank account will be overdrawn as of Thursday (Feb 5th). Each day it's overdrawn, I get charged $6 on top of that. Well, without a job, that might be a while. 2) As of Monday, I'll be foodless basically until I get my food stamps either later that week or the early the following week. So, I'm working on a plan to get me some food for the week. 3) Getting close to running out of gas for the car. With no job comes even a greater chance of having no money! *lol* Not to mention, looks like Chase is going to start hounding me about my car payment as well. So, who knows how long it will be until I have no car? Thinking of the car? I'm wondering if my homeless verficiation letter I received from Recovery Network would work with JD ByRider to get a cheaper car? They say they want me to stay a month at a physical address. Something I have to think about soon maybe?

Anyway, back to my life I go to try and fix things to make it better.

Mentally and Emotionally Drained...

Today, I had a phone screening with Hobsons in downtown Cincinnati. The lady is sending my information on to the hiring manager and if he feels like I warrant further consideration, he will interview me face to face. But I won't know one way or another for a week. Hope things work out and I hear back very soon.

Then after the phone interview, I had breakfast and finished up the third installment of the Twilight Series before heading off to the Welcome House. At the welcome house, I ended up staying there until around 4 pm. 4 hours only to be chastised by the case manager. I never felt so uneasy after leaving any place before. This was horrible but as I seat here and reflect, am I in denial of things? The questions she asked was fair questions but I answered them as truly as I can. But to consider my answers as "playing" her or trying to "lie" to her is pretty low. I answered all her questions to the best of my ability. I had no clue what she was looking for but after leaving there, my stomach was in knots and upset. Almost like I wanted to throw up. But as I'm thinking back, do I need to reconsider some of the things I'm doing? Do I need to dig deeper inside me to figure out what's wrong with me? Why am I so mentally and emotionally drained right now? I was only with the case manager for like 30 minutes. I seem to be unable to describe how I feel right now in this post. It seemed to me that the case manager thinks that being homeless, living out of my car, no job, and no money makes a person have depression? All I can think about since I left the Welcome House is that meeting and it's killing me. Why is it killing me? I just...I just don't...don't know what to really think. Is it denial? Am I denying myself something? I'm just confused, mentally, and emotionally drained! And it's all because of this meeting at the Welcome House!

This next few days is mainly going to keep me in Covington it seems until this weekend. Looks like I'm going to the job club on both Tuesday and Friday at 1 pm. All I wanted from the Welcome House was a referral to the Job Club. At least I got that but was it worth it now? Then on Thursday, I have my appointment for food stamps. So, it looks like for me to save gas, I'm going to stay around in that area for this week. Then be back over here this weekend. Nowadays, since I really don't have money, I need to start being wise on saving gas and etc.

Another thing that's going to be coming up soon, is my upcoming blog post regarding "Twilight". I just got the 4th installment of the series "Breaking Dawn". After I'm done listening to it, I'm going to do a blog post about it. Don't want to miss that! *lol* Anyway, thank you all for staying with me till the end of this post. Talk to you soon!
